About Mendel
J. G. Mendel was a Moravian naturalist of German origin, who lived from 1822 to 1884 and became the founder of genetics and the discoverer of the basic laws of heredity. He was also interested in biology, mathematics and botany.
He was interested in meteorology and beekeeping. He was also a teacher, monk, priest and later
abbot of the Augustinian monastery in Old Brno.
About the Project
J. G. Mendel is an inspirational figure whose legacy enriches us to this day. We wanted to pay tribute to this gifted father of genetics and therefore created an original, authentic bust of Johann Gregor Mendel
in the form of a 3D model.

We have created a 3D printed set of items used for self-defense and protection. The collection consists of three types of boxers, a whistle and a reflective water holder for cyclists.
We were inspired to create this self-guard edition by the new reflective filament from Abaflex. The filament is made of PETG+ material, which has improved properties compared to the classic PETG. The leading advantages include increased resistance to mechanical stress. This material is also slightly flexible and strong at the same time.

Self-defence boxers
In the case of boxers, it offers reinforcement and protection for the hand. PETG+ also has improved impact toughness and can therefore withstand higher force impacts without cracking.
We have developed three variants of these self-defensive boxers.
The main motivation for creating the boxers is to provide comfortable self-defense, not offense. That is why we also chose a material that is light and strong at the same time, i.e. plastic (PETG+). Another advantage of this plastic is also the fact that it is not strong enough to cause fatal injuries. The purpose of this product is also to serve as a protective element for women in uncluttered situations, at night, etc. We therefore offer three sizes of this product (S, M, L).
Whistle
The self-defense whistle must have undoubtedly been part of the edition, perfectly foldable and powerful in sound at the same time.
We designed ours in the traditional way, just as whistles are carved from thicker straws or wood.
The sound of the whistle was important to us, it must be heard. At the same time, the whistle is so compact that you can conveniently hang it on a bunch of keys or hide it in your pocket.
Its presence will definitely not be noticed, that is, until the whistle is needed.
Reflective cycling bottle holder
The reflective bottle holder for cyclists is a combination of practicality and protection in one.
The holder is designed to fulfil its protective properties, both in terms of its distinctive colour, but also in terms of its construction. In fact, the whole bottle holder looks like a kind of big spring.
We chose this shape not only for its design hallmark, but more importantly for its comfortable handling and ease of bottle insertion and removal.
