About Mendel
J. G. Mendel was a Moravian naturalist of German origin, who lived from 1822 to 1884 and became the founder of genetics and the discoverer of the basic laws of heredity. He was also interested in biology, mathematics and botany.
He was interested in meteorology and beekeeping. He was also a teacher, monk, priest and later
abbot of the Augustinian monastery in Old Brno.
About the Project
J. G. Mendel is an inspirational figure whose legacy enriches us to this day. We wanted to pay tribute to this gifted father of genetics and therefore created an original, authentic bust of Johann Gregor Mendel
in the form of a 3D model.
